August 11-August 17, A Brief Daily Summary

august 11, friday: helped out in la nave (spaceship, where they have all of the kids stuff at the church), helped clean with anna (my roommate who cleans the church), nighttime service in puga

august 12, saturday: breakfast for children at la tierra (one of the church plants), hanging out at my house cause i was sick, youth group, taqueria with rachel, her boyfriend, abram, and a bunch of people from the church

august 13, sunday: help with children's breakfast in la nave, attended 11am service, lunch for vbs volunteers and yummy food (the best i have had so far. right now i eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, canned food, and cereal cause my house has no oven, microwave, etc. so handmade tortillas, tasty meat, and the best gorditas really hit the spot! i cant wait to come home and eat good healthy food consistently), hang at la casita, 6pm service, watched el effecto mariposa (the butterfly effect) and tamales with saul and lili at lili´s house

august 14, monday: day off, shopping in downtown with rachel, visited orphanage with rachel and hung out with some junior high age girls she mentors

august 15, tuesday: morning prayer, puga women's outreach in evening and playing with kids ( we did chalk and played pato, pato, gonzo until i couldnt stand it any more)

august 16, wednesday: first spanish lesson with azucena, cleaning the church with anna again, working on tony's computer, 7pm service, watched V for Vendetta at lili´s house with saul, pollo, and jaimie.

august 17, thursday: cleaned the church with anna once more, helped out tony, just chilled, babysat Andrea for a few hours in the afternoon

august 18-21 i am going to head over to Las Varas for a weekend of vacation and relaxation on the beaches with Rachel and maybe our friends Lili and Myrna. should be quite nice. we have been blessed with staying in some condos of my friend Lidiana and so we will just relax on the beach and watch the sunset and sunrise. hurray!
