Sorry to be vain and girly, but I am craving all things sparkly right now...glimmering and glistening snow resting on the ground, glittery letters that spell P-E-A-C-E on your fireplace mantle, the twinkle and wink of white lights on our house, my gorgeous and fantastic diamond that faithfully gives me a weekly thirty-second distraction at church when I glance down and it catches the array of lights in the sanctuary, shirts with sequins, dresses with sequins, lip glossy lips, shoes or panties with sparkles, peacock feathers, freshly applied eye shadow, construction paper cards with glitter- and Elmer's glue-crafted words, sweet and colorful sugar crystals, bright stars on a black night, a baby's smile and twinkle in their eyes, flickeringly romantic candlelight, the nearly microscopic flecks of beach glass that help make up sand that gloriously glisten on the Hawaiian sands, shimmery waters on an incredibly hot day, the vintage glory of my wedding dress, dew drops on green leaves in the morn, the twinkle in one's eye when expecting new life, beads of sweat wetting a joyfully and passionately dancing or working out body. Dress them down or dress them up. Tacky, classy, elegant, exuberant, showy. Decorate, bedazzle, clothe, envision. Sparkles. Sparkles. Sparkles. So lovely. I want to catch some and hold them in my hands and look at them in wonder.
