All Things Mexico Part Three

You Know You're Mexican If...

*You can still say "Buenas tardes" at 8pm
*The walls of your house and, for that matter, every building you enter, are made of concrete
*A shot of tequila is acceptable at all hours of the day
*You know not the wonders of a dishwasher
*You can wear ridiculously high heels and still board whatever bus and make it walking around the streets of Mexico without dying or breaking your ankle
*The power frequently shuts off and you can find the candles in the dark without tripping
*You could eats beans, rice, and tortillas everyday without complaint
*You consider it normal when the water runs out
*You say "pues", "mmmhmm", "que", "pinchey", o "cabron" as simply as if it's breathing
*People making out on the streets don't bother you
*Eggs or other food some people might refrigerate stay on the counter without being chilled
*You go to one store for produce, one for meat, one for tortillas, etc
*You know what Triki Trakes and Pinguinos are and you eat them
*You or your neighbor have a slug bug
*You eat bugs and like them
*When someone in your home uses the microwave all the lights dim dramatically and you don't have fears about blowing fuses
*Large explosions nearby consistently occur and you don't bat an eye

Dulcy!
I love this list. Thanks for writing and keeping us posted. What fun adventures! Can't wait to hear your espanol vocal pauses, reintroduce you to an unceasing water supply, and Safeway! Haha - wow. Rad experiences. Someday you'll have to flesh out your experiences face-to-face, and preview study abroad for me.
p.s - ALMOST HOME...AH...casi estaras aqui!
