Songs and words that spoke to my heart within the last week bringing peace and comfort, reminding me that Jesus is in control and to nestle into the pillow of trust He graciously and tenderly provided.
"Friends, a year is ending and a new one is beginning. And burdened though we may be; discouraged with our failures; bogged down with the cares of everyday living, still we can take heart in this blessed season. One little phrase can help us along. A simple phrase in a childhood poem- 'God's in His heaven; all is right with the world.'" Frank Sinatra
Be still, my soul, the Lord is on your side.
Bear patiently, the cross of grief or pain.
Leave to your God, to order and provide.
In every change He faithful will remain.
Be still, my soul, your best your heavenly friend,
Through thorny ways leads to a joyful end.
Be still, my soul, your God will undertake
To guide the future as He has the past.
Your hope, your confidence let nothing shake.
All now mysterious shall be bright at last.
Be still, my soul, the waves and winds still low
His voice who ruled them while he lived below.
Be still, my soul,
Be still, my soul,
Be still. Ginny Owens
And, now, I breathe a delicious sigh of relief, crank the Christmas tunes, and delve into more work saying, Thank you, Lord. I trust You.
