i have to say that thanksgiving was very quiet this year. i aint gonna lie, i enjoyed it. however, i really missed the whole loud laughing 15-20 family members crowding into too small of a living room or squishing at a table made for 10 and enjoying thanksgiving italian style. italian stuffing, homemade cheesy rolls, non-canned cranberries (so savory), pumpkin surprise (who needs pumpkin pie when you have that), deliciously sweet yams with marshmallows, our special family recipe punch (it's not spiked, dont worry...not yet)...yeah, it's great.
but the food is not even all of it. it's been since before i left for mexico since i have seen a few of my cousins and aunt. i think that being with family is so perfect because even though i havent seen them in four months, we just relaxed together and enjoyed time with one another. and, you know, my family is full of amazing people. i love them for who they are and i love to just be with them and get to know them because they are such capable people. my cousins are aspiring to be great things and my aunts and uncles have sweet jobs making the world a better place: paramedics, Pixar artists, firefighters, bus drivers, film makers, bus drivers, master gardeners, hospice workers, teachers, shipyard workers for the navy, interior designers, pastors. they are pretty cool people.
