She

What do we think of the fact that the Bible uses a feminine reference to personify wisdom and adultery?

At first I was all honored and gloating and thrilled as I realized that Solomon chose "she" when speaking of wisdom starting in Proverbs 3: 14: "Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who gains understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies..." etc. Then I remembered how adultery is personified in a woman as well. Hmm...food for thought.
