I get so darn curious sometimes. Lord, where will you take us in our journey with You? We have these dreams that are detailed and others that are just global and beginning to take form and flight with Your grace. However, we are always aware of how dramatically You can change those fine details to shape the path into exactly what You have for us. You allow us to "choose our own adventure" like those old books where we think we can select the next fork in the road to amble down, but, in reality, You have it all mapped out for us. The course is charted and we have yet to complete its winds and curves, bumps and hills, monotonous flat sections, and view the beautiful and breath-taking scenery. Our plans are not our own. Your ways are higher than our ways. That's exciting. Goose bumps coursed through me today in knowing that we can lay before You one big idea and You can show us how it will take shape. It has taken several hours to let sink in what may come. What dreams may come to fruition. What future hopes You planted as a seed many years ago that are finally beginning to take seed beneath the surface after years of laying dormant. We must now take the baton and run--even if we are not sure yet where You are directing our steps. We trust in You by faith and pursue what is next in Your path before us.
Hebrews 12:1, "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."
2 Timothy 4:7, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
