danger...dulcy is blogging, thoughts prior to mexico departure, and goodbyes

just in case i have time in mexico to blog (dear, God, am i seriously starting a blog, scary), i thought i would get this going while i have a spare moment in the United States. i dont know if anyone would actually want to read what i have to say or what i think because i talk a lot, but i am having a moment of creativity and am giving into culturally dictated trends of blogging. never fear, myspace will never come my way!

let's start off by saying that going to mexico for a month sounds boring, long, tiring, terrifying, stupid, and too hot; however, simultaneously, thrilling, adventurous, rich with culture, stretching, and brilliant. it's pretty cool that i feel so split (not really), but i think that i will start to feel less divided and ambivalent once i step out of the plane in puerto vallarta into the humidity and start to get to know the people.

i despise goodbyes because they are always too long, especially in my family (sometimes they take hours, no joke). everyone i say goodbye to, i am going to see again, so i would rather spend time in the moment, laughing, talking, playing, and then kiss, hug, buh-bye, see you soon. hmm. i think i am going to have to get over the whole dislike of goodbyes though because there will be an insurmountable sum of them between now and tuesday. four days to go.

Ooh...good first blog.

I know, good-byes can be extremely torturous. And at the same time, remind us of how much we mean to others, and them to us.

:) But don't worry, whether or not I see you today, tomorrow, or in heaven, I will see you.
